Quick Ribble Question.....

I ordered a couple of bits from Ribble a couple of hours ago, but haven't had a confirmation email. Does anyone know:

a) If the emails take a while to come through; and

b) If my order should appear in the 'My Account' section of the site?

There doesn't seem to be anywhere to see pending orders, and I'm wondering if it didn't go through for some reason. I got the order confirmation screen, but didn't write down the number as they usually come through on emails (with other companies at least).

Pretty sure I had an automated reply with a ref no. last time I bought something off them.
  • You sure you have the right address submitted with them?

I only used their internet order service once. Received no e-mail, rang up after a week to be told they had no stock and i would have to wait a couple of weeks minimum. They had no intention of contacting me to tell me this and were just going to send the items out when they had all arrived.

Yeah, they have the right email as I'm always getting their advertising stuff. Will give them a call tomorrow to see if they got it.

there are many stories of ribble's painfully poor customer service lurking on this forum.

and some people who love them too.

Usually with Ribble this is what happens:
    - No confirmation email.
    - No way to track the order online
    - Start to get worried (the stage you are in)
    - The goods arrive 2-5 days later.
They have great deals but you need to go with the flow on customer service compared with (say) Wiggle.
I wouldn't bother phoning and would bet your goods turn up shortly.
    cheers

Just gave them a quick ring, said the stuff should be with me tomorrow, so must just be an email problem.

Check your spamm software or junk e-mail box. Thinsg liek this may get lost in there.

I've always had a confirmation from Ribble via e-mail when ordering.
