I get an erection while riding

I have tried just about everything but I cannot find a way to stop this embarrassing situation [:I]

I have changed seats. seat position, underwear type, bicycle, etc.

When I was a teenager I used to have the same problem and riding on a dirt track would bring an ejaculation [:I]

Has anybody experienced this situation?

Go see your doctor and ask him to look at your prostate.

  • maybe your not riding hard enough (no pun intended) when i get to work and have to change all the blood seems to have been diverted away from him[:I]

used to get the same problem windsurfing, the colder the water the smaller the man, we called it the willy shrink factor, it was a measure of sea temperature.

feel very sorry for you mate

    Thanks for your comments.

I will go and see my doctor - good point.

I did use a seat like that, with a gap in the middle.

I don't ride too fast nor too slow, average is about 17 - 18 mph.

My manhood also gets small in cold water [:D]

    Thanks again.

Suppose it depends who you're riding behind! Either that or you're doing it all wrong mate.

Ride harder. If your heart and lungs can spare that much blood, you ain't riding hard enough.

What about a pair of cycling shorts with plenty of padding at the front and a long cycling top, a tight pair of shorts ought to keep it from poking out too much and a long top will cover things up completely. Not getting rid of the problem but hiding the symptoms.

Seems to bring back memories of my teenage years and being glad of long baggy school jumpers....

You need to try cycling with a SADDLE mate. Bare seatposts create all kinds of unwanted excitment.

This has to be a candidate for most mental topic...hardons whilst cycling...my wee fella usually tries to invert when on the bike for long periods[;)]

Reckon your just a right horny sod and should maybe take some bromide[:D]

Did see a lovely lass on the FWC right enough...woman cyclists are usually very attractive in lycra...but Honister/Hardknott etc soon diverted my attention from the more carnal nature...

There is a book "Cycling Medicine", and it does talk about cycling (for some) causing prostatic stimulation, resulting in ejaculation.

You may just be fortunate enought to have a sensitive prostate. Enjoy.

This is going to be a HARD act to follow! [:D]

    Really sorry, just couldn't resist.

Seriously though I searched Google and couldn't find much about erections whilst cycling.

Plenty about possible erectile disfunction, and this article (PDF) including willy pics about a study to test the ED theory.

I'd say the docs is the best place to start.

Let us know what you find out.

Please please please, God almighty, spare us the thought, did you really have to share this problem with us ?, surely there's some things that should be kept to yourself ?, why not just have normal problems with brakes and tyres and things, go see a Doctor before you give someone a heart attack.

You are obviously enjoying your cycling far too much. What does your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend have to say about this? Matbe you should get home a bit quicker and let them sort the problem out for you.
