British Cyclosportive - feedstations?

Does anyone have details of what distance these are placed at? There are 5 in total according to the info pack but no distances are mentioned, unless I have missed them?

Cheers

Rich

Nothing on the website but I wouldn't be too concerned. Plan on all the stops being out of everything except water. If it's any use, I'll take 2 peantut butter torpedo rolls, 4 power bars and enough drink powder to cover 6 large bottles.
  • It will only be water that I am after as I also carry everything else that I need - I just wonder if it's a mistake to assume they will be every 20 miles...it might be quicker and easier to buy water when I need to...

  • I found some info on rest stops in their rider pack...
To my knowledge (please check!) they are at:
    Higham (32mi)
    Aylesford (48mi; +16mi)
    Tonbridge (64mi; +16mi)
    Tenterden (94mi; +30mi)
    Aldington (115mi; +21mi)

Note the gap between Tonbridge and Tenterden.

I second the suggestion above to assume you'll only find water at the rest stops and bring appropriate drink powder etc.

I think your data is slightly wrong, Simon. I've worked it out as this:

    Higham (25mi)
    Aylesford (35mi; 10mi after last)
    Tonbridge (49mi; +14mi)
    Tenterden (79mi; +30mi)
    Aldington (96mi; +17mi)
  • Those distances sound much more reasonable!

  • Thanks both.

I'll plan to grab some water at the 2nd and last stop only then....

You won't need to take on water - have you seen the weather forecast?
Just ride with your mouth open, you'll get all the water you need.[:D]
