So, back on my bike, my cold has just about cleared up [:D].

On my way home today from the office, the roads to the station are totally gridlocked. What a beauty!

Just whizzed by all the cars. And the trip (that is usually only 1-2 min slower than by car) took barely 30s longer than usual [8D]!

Well, there wasn't any gridlock in the bits of London I was travelling through this evening. I wondered where all the traffic had gone... It must have gone over your way - whereever 'your way' is [:)]

    Not London, Swindon.

Seems to be related to some roadworks, because it has been jammed up all week. What a pleasure. Seem the trip by car is taking people around 30 mins, today I was bang on my usual time, though I was lucky with the lights.

ah yes - that's because everyone simultaneously got their webbed hands stuck in the steering wheels.

Like I care about whether motorists are stuck in traffic jams.[:P]

Well, except down Shaftesbury Avenue, which has been pretty much 'business as usual' with the road works, it seems to have been fairly quiet all week so far, and it's not even half term. I'm beginning to wonder if something's going on that I should know about? [:)]

I drove up to London the other day to take my wife out to lunch for her birthday - we live Addlestone - just outside the M25 - and it took us 2 hours to get to Chelsea - I was enjoying watching all the cyclist flow past us and disappear over the horizon - made me feel thankful for the freedom I enjoy on my bike and also reminded me just how myopic drivers are when dealing with the car in front or the one they dont want to get to be the one in front - such that the drivers awareness is limited to about 3ft in front of your bonnet, its made me take more care filtering through traffic this week...
