I was worried that they'd pull out. Why would that worry me? Dunno, but I like Bjarne, he's clearly from outer space, and I can't help thinking that CSC are good active sponsors i.e. they don't just cough up the money but they get involved, demand results etc.

Judging by the number of CSC jerseys out at the Polka Dot, there would be a number of people having to buy new kit, if they pulled-out.

There would be that period where they are just last-year's jersey (like blue/grey Lance-era Disco kit), before they become old enough to be retro chic.

I've always assumed so many people wear Disco kit because they're a popular team because they were in the spotlight with Lance, in the same way many people wear Man Utd footie kit, but I was surprised to see so many out in CSC kit at the weekend - only saw the odd person in any other ProTour team kit
(although it is quite a nice design/colour - rather less awful than Saunier Duval or Liquigas !).

why is it sunny all week yet rains at weekends ?

  • I bought the disco top because it had a full length zip and I could get it there and then no other reason. The black and red of CSC just looks goods..

I was out taking pics of the Polka Dot and i have to admit the CSC replica jersey was a very popular jersey that day.

Although Treks get quite a long of stick and to be honest im not sure why, maybe its a anti Lance thing, but along with Specialized there where a very popular choice of bike last Sunday.

One last point i do think you would look a bit of a tit wearing full replica pro team kit then end up pushing up winnats.
