2 fixies stolen - London

All you Londoners - please could you keep your eye out for either of these two bikes - stolen in the Highgate area. They're both fairly distinctive.

1st Bike -
- Colnagao fixed gear bike, approx 59 cm size.
- Blue and white frame, missing most decals, with a few rust spots. Small dent in top tube.
- Chrome forks - wrapped in black insulation tape to prevent rust.
- Single front brake, operated by RH brake lever. No back brake, although LH lever still on handle bars.
- Yellow drop handlebars.
- Mavic Open Pro rear wheel on Miche Track Hub, with yellow/black Michelin tyre.
- Mavic Open Pro QR front wheel on Camagnolo hub, with grey/black front tyre
-Shimano SPD pedals

2nd Bike
- Blue fixed gear bicycle, approx 57 cm frame size.
- Make: Dave Russell. Large white "Dave Russell" decals on down tube and seat tube. Small dent in top tube.
- Distinctive yellow "bull horn" handlebars, with single RH brake lever.
- Single shimano 105 front brake. No rear brake.
- Rear wheel: Mavic Open pro on Condor Track Hub. Black tyre.
- Front wheel: Mavic MA3 on Campagnolo hub.
- Distinctive Red BMX cranks
- Shimano SPD pedals

Ah, well - they were locked to each other, as well as being locked to a chain on a wall at the back of my flats. The scumbags bust the chain to get them off, along with one or two bikes of some other residents, I think.

My flats do have lockable bike sheds, but I was informed a few weeks ago that they were full, and that there's a waiting list for keys - so didn't have many options for places to lock them.

tynan - fairly standard to dispense with back brakes on fixies.

sorry again, sadly if they want they take regardless of almost any fixings you use, I had one taken one from the side of the house that was D locked to a real iron loop bolted to he brickwork, whatever they used snapped the iron loop from the base plate, that for a œ300 special

only asking about the back brakes, why?
