I had an old viscount 'aerospace' tubing bike given to me a couple of months back but it's a little on the large side (23 1/2") so I don't want to pay to have the bottom bracket shell sorted to take a standard threaded BB. Anyone want it? It's obviously seen alot of use but there are no dings or rust (just surface rust/pitting on the chromed areas).

Thought I'd offer it up.

Got your mail - original steel forks are with it, and they're not the 'suicide' cast aluminium ones! (Although they'd probably be worth some money for the notoriety)

Graham, Thanks I got the frame this morning. I need your address. It measures 25" c-t which is way too big, so if any one wants it and they cover the post they can have it.

Cheers Dickie, Cheers Graham. I have some 700C and a line on some 27s but does anyone know of a method of getting 700c to fit a 27" frame?

You'll just need some deep drop calipers so the brakes reach.

I had the brake bridge lowered on my Viscount , didn't cost too much . This is ok if it needs a respray anyway. The front forks can be shortened or get some cheap off ebay. Its worth fitting shorter brakes if you can as they generally stop you quicker I reckon..
I put some carbon forks on mine , good upgrade to the frame as it felt much more nimble .
One thing more ,,,,,,don't expect it to be as stiff as a alloy frame , mine is a bit bendy when sprinting but otherwise it handles nicely and is quite light for steel.
