I'm visiting friends in the Taunton area this weekend and I need to keep on training for the UK etape - does anyone have a good route around the area?

Thanks

There is lots of hills near Taunton - the Blackdowns begin just South of the town. Take the road out past the race course (South of Taunton) and go up and down the roads along that ridge across toward Wellington (Blagdon is a good one). Then head south towards Dunkeswell, Honiton, Chard and back to Taunton via Neroche forest.

If your legs don't ache after that route then you really haven't ridden hard enough up those hills! Much hillier than the UK etape but will strenghten your legs.

Cyclist, public transport passenger, pedestrian, driver, motorcyclist.
I get on OK with myself, so why can't we all get on with each other?
