With anatomical bumps and lumps It's hard to tell If my new saddle is level. This picture on the website looks like it's tilted foward a bit to much or is it meant to be like that?

  • Go by the rails, they seem level.

I would say that saddle is tilted well forward in the picture.

I'd go by my backside, that's what matters.
Though the photo shows the rails level, the saddle does seem nose-down, only one way to find out.

For a flat saddle the rails normall point slight upwards - the picture is definitely 'nose down'

I've been thinking of one of those, do you find it comfy?

Where did you get it from, internet or shop?

    Cheers

it's a specialised avatar. can be purchased at lots of LBS and online

it does come in 3 width fittings though and a LBS could measure your sit bones to ensure you get the correct width saddle.

It is comfy yes. I've using the 155 but my LBS has leant me the 144 to try as I was right on the cusp between the two sizes. Chers for the replys.

When I'm attaching a new saddle I stick a large book on top of it and a spirit level on top of that. Then if I feel like its out of alignment when I'm riding it gets a bit of tweaking. I'd have said the one in the photo is definitely nosed down.

I've found tha avatar pretty comfy, not a patch on the higher end Toupe though which I can sit on comfortably for longer than I do my sofa [:)]
