first ride on Saturday, absolutely sublime, the skinny Genius tubes have a real magic carpet quality. The build isn't complete as such, at the mo the wheels are Phil hubs on Ambrosio Excellence rims, shortly to be replaced with a set of polished sprints. Here's a few pics, not the best - I'll be doing better ones later this week. I know it's not a pukka 'NJS' build but it works for me!
Typically for a first ride the heavens opened, but c'est la vie - at least fixies are quick to clean! I only rod the 25km to my favourite beach cafe, turned a few heads down there with it [:)]

It was fated to be mine. I decided I wanted one, and then found out the builder had passed away recently and all of a sudden they were getting rarer... a few quick enquiries and there was one left (of four if memory serves) in my size.. and it was Ferrari Red (the others were crap colours). The rest was unthinking, a wave of the mastercard to make it all happen. No regrets though it took me a long time to save enough to build it after cleaning out my cash savings on the frame. Worth it I think.

It's actually OK so long as I avoid the steeper descents, especially ones with sharp bends and t-junctions at the bottom... Rather exciting really.

I used to ride to the track some nights "brakeless" and you really have to pick a flat route with no dodgy junctions... lucky not to get any punctures really !!

I have a couple of friends who are coppers, must ask if they'd pull me over for no brakes...

I was once stopped by a local WPC for riding my track bike on the pavement...

She was cool with is once i'd explaned that i was enroute to a mates as we shared lifts to the track league, and i'd shown her it didn't have any brakes so i chose to ride on the pavement at just above walking pace...

You will be in trouble with the plod for using it on the road... best you give it to me for safe keeping. lol.
