"Fast Eddie" Clarke is a <s>drummer</s> guitarist with "Motorhead"

Apparently he has written to his MP expressing his concern over his pension!

What happened to real Rock Stars?

Why isn't he setting a bad example?

This is a betrayal of standards!

(But not as bad as Lemmy advertising insurance!

He was the old guitarist. Phil Taylor was the drummer.

    You are right - amended

However, somehow that makes it even worse!

... interesting to note Mr Motorhead has recently applied for a trademark for the 'Motorhead' name in a whole host of TM classes. It's not about music, it's about money. It always has, it always will be.

Not only Motorhead but the Sex Pistols are now allowing their songs to be used in commercials. The music world is full of hypocrites when money comes into question.

I don't agree. The music world is all about entertainment, <b>professional</b> entertainment. Just because a band sings songs that they know their audience will buy doesn't mean that they believe in the lyrics or don't want to <b>sell</b> their product for<b> profit</b> - irrespective of what the lyrics say.

Lemmy was bass player for Hawkwind, who first performed the song "Motorhead". They were an underground band who didn't believe in all this breadhead crap....and got ripped off something rotten.
Clearly they learned their lesson, and Mr Kilmister is sticking to it.

[old git] I saw Hawkwind whilst Lemmy , Robert Calvert, and Michael Moorcock were with them, and saw Motorhead as a support band in London in late '74 or early '75[/old git]
