Here is an alternative route to the well known London to Brighton ride (Europe's largest cycle event) organized by British Heart Foundation.

Probably; there's certainly a fairly well-used offroad cycle route called the Downs Link, between St Martha on the Mount (near Chilworth in Surrey) and Shoreham-on-sea, so I can't believe it'd take all that much to extend the route to start at London and finish near Brighton.

they could make it an option to have some off-road parts on it. when i did it this year there were soooo many ques becasue of sheer weight of numbers. this would help to reduce this.
