Slow run sounds good to me. I've been round the red a few times but never attempted any of the black sections - I'm working up the courage!

I did the whole of the Black Run today for the first time
including that tall wooden thing, which in all honesty was a piece of piss. I thought it was going to be about a meter wide, but it's nearer twice that width. Also, you don't realise the height of it until you're over.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun, I thought the quality of the black single track was so much better than the red. Lovely flowing runs.
Mind you, I still hate them logs on the red route so I took the mud detour, and of course nearly fell off into the stream - oh, the irony.0 -
Is this still going ahead? It sounds like it could be a plan as I am on holiday and am planning 3 days in Wales so i can do Coed y Brenin but also meet you guys if thats ok?

Did the black run the other day with Seagull, steady pace and now the "small step" has been removed its a lot easier! Must admit to doing the detour round the log section myself. Hopefully, come July it'll be dry and have some grip on there....

I'm still up for it. I should be there with about 3 or 4 of my riding buddies - I'm looking to book our accomodation this weekend. We'll be about on the saturday afternoon too, probably looking at doing Penmachno.

I gonna try and get us in the bunkhouse we stayed in a few weeks ago, in Betws-y-Coed. Here: http://www.glanaberhotel.com/bunkhouse.htm It's literally about a five minute drive from Penmachno and probably about 40 minutes from Llandegla.
Penmachno's well worth a visit, if you haven't been before. I did the best bit of riding I've ever done there - that was until I crashed on a tight switchback! [B)][:D]
