New chain time
Just cleaned and ran through all the regular checks and noticed my chains started to strentch, it's less than 1/16th but it's definately started to go. So becuase it's not stretched too much I wondered if i'd get away with just a new chain and keeping the cassette, which still looks good as new? What about the chainring? That still looks good aswell.

You should just get away with a new chain.

They call it "PMS" because "Mad Cow Disease" was already taken0 -
1/16" is supposed to be okay for a new chain only
1/8" usually means chainring and cassette wear too.0 -
I thought it'd be alright just didn't want to buy a new chain put it on then find I need a new casette aswell becuase I don't have the money for one...

Put a new chain on yesterday. Took the cassette off, saw that the teeth were ok, so just gave it a thorough clean and put it back on.
Took it for a spin last night with no problems (at the back anyway).

I don't bother checking chains for stretch and changing them regularly. To tell you the truth I'm not sure how relevant it is with today's drivetrains, with narrower spaces between gears. I find that just letting things be usually works fine and for a very long time. If things eventually start to go wrong then I just fit a new chain, cassette and rings at the same time. I think I've only done it once or twice in the last 3 years and once was due to fitting a larger chainring. I'm pretty sure I'd have gone through a few chains by now and I'd be surprised if it wasn't just cheaper to fit and forget every couple of years or so.
