my shimano deore hubs were loose? well, basically the nuts were loose on the sides of the hub so i tightend them up.
now when i freewheel the front and back wheels upsidedown (the bike) they make a horible noise and slow down rapidly to a stop. (the rotors arn't rubbing the pads). are they dead or do they need a servicing?
sorry about the spelling in places

you have over tightend the bearings. Read how to set the bearings on parktools.
