the long and very rocky fireroad from the cheux fleurie(sp?) back down into les lindarets.

I over took davide down there a few years ago while he was clocking 50mph, I've had more moments there and witnessed more big crashes than on any other piece of track.

that the one where they were doing a lot of building last year, so you could tuck in behind the huge diggers that hammered up and down the fire-road.

got to the bottom and literally scraped off the dust from your goggles.

I'm driving over there, i need to drive back and I want to spend all 2 weeks riding. Therefore: armour required.

I can't see a good reason not to wear it. Sweat is cured with a shower, Tavy. I can cope with the shower.

Armourless crashes are cured with skin-grafts, bandages and time off the bike. I don't want that whilst I'm on holiday

i got mine direct from the dianese shop. cant remember the link but it was one of the cheapest places strangely. failing that get it out there - will probably be cheaper in france - i know it is quite a bit in germany!

Interesting, i've been pondering the "do I, don't I" armour debate.

Dainese do some wierd shirt thing with arm pads, but none of the other crap, so i'm going to give that a go. Don't want a full on gimp suit, it won't be very enjoyable.

Why can;t you get it from your local LL?
