I am looking to get a new bike and was looking at the carrera kraken in halfords for œ265 which i thought was a good deal.
Is the carrera kraken any good or are all the parts cheap?

Good bike, my mate done the same 6 months ago. He now has Mx Pro's, XT hubs on 717's, XT drivechain, new finishing kit and LX hydraulics on it and it feels lovely!

I'm also looking at the Kraken as a 1st timer. But I'v just been offered an old tidy GT idrive 4.0 FS. Is this a better option?
