On a green mountaincycle? I'll keep an eye out.
i think I'm going to be in a group of three, one on a Kona Hoss rental, one on a retro, baby blue, specialized FSR XC, and me on my trusty (creaky!) steed.

I want to come too! If it were not for the facts that:

    a) I'd die
    3) I don't have a mountainbike
    ~) I live in Hollandland
9f) I have the endurance of a dead person

Sorry, to keep chatting, but November, why would you die if you went?

    OK, resume normal cakefestivities.

black runs at llandegla are very fun. and they get very fast, and bumpy. you dont need a full face though, although there are plenty of rocks that you could smash your jaw and/or face open with.

True, anto, and if you do decide to wear a full-face, the initial climb isn't too bad, so you could get away with wearing it on the way up.

the climb AFTER the black section though... well... that' just too much!

Anyhoo, off to fettle with my steed. Going to try copperslipping EVERYTHING to stop that bloody swingarm creaking. So don't be surprised if you see me with a copper-coloured bike tomorrow!

I would die basically because of point 9f. I used to have great endurance, used to be quite athletic and sport a lot, but lately there's been nothing to keep me interested around here and in the past 4 or so years my endurance has gone from 'great' to 'bloody horrible'. I'm very much looking forward to starting mountainbiking though as it should be a good way of getting and keeping me fit again. But therefore it makes me jealous when you people organise cakefests. [:D]

Lesbian in a fish shop1 classic!.
don't you think they've been a bit optimistic on that uphill, by putting little kicker jumps, and little berms, ON THE WAY UP?!?!? I mean, WTF?

hang, on, XCers were shooting up? so they ARE all on drugs?

hmmm if it is just a bit rocky/tech then i won't bother with the full face, i don't actually hve a normal lid anyways though so hey ho. In terms of the last climb, it sounds like a right sod, i think i might be walking that one! Oh well, aint a clue what time i will be getting there, a safe bet is probably lunch time. Rode thurstaston tonight with john which was a good laugh, doing anything rocky/drop orientated is still quite a new feeling after 4 years without doing much hardtail riding!

I`m gonna try & get there for 9.00/9.30. I will be onmy tod too. It will be the 1st time out for 5 weeks since I crashed at Llandegla. I will definately be wearing my full face as it saved me last time. I probably will be taking it easy though as my shoulder still aint right yet. I`ll be on the green enduro with yellow deemax`s.

    Cyall there, Puggs.

P.S. anyone needing a lift from north Manchester/on route gimmie a shout. I got room for one & a bike(with wheels removed)bikes on back seat, wheels in boot.

well, i went today, got there about 1 in the end as my mate took ages getting to my house. I did the full red/black including all the black sections and i am now absolultely knackered. PLease tell me that on monday someone knows the shortcuts to the black sections as opposed to having to do all the red bits first?

I hope you didn`t see my bike outside coz I have been out on the piss in Manchester today & just got in. If it was my bike I wont be there on Monday coz it should be locked up in my mates garage.

Ah, I do apologise, there was a bike just like yours (you new bike link) outside the cafe. i haven't seen many of them around!

so you missed our mate's camo fashion disaster then! we were expecting it to rain and be really muddy, so I think they were his only "get muddy" clothes! never gave him a chance to explain though!
