Highlights on ITV apparently (advertised on the rugby coverage earlier). I assume ITV4 as their normal cycling channel.

MERLIER leaves it late but times it well... Clean sprint by all on a slightly curving finishing straight which tends to cause drifts into rivals

Unsurprisingly, Tim Merlier takes the bunch sprint ahead of Arnaud Demare.

It's the funky individual times TTT today. I think I quite like the format. There's a simple logic to it: get your leader over the line as fast as possible, however it makes sense to do so.

It’s also the format that will be used in the opening stage of the 2026 Tour, so possibly a chance to experiment for some teams.

Yeah, it's been heading to the Tour for a while imo, they tried it last year in P-N as well. Don't think it made a huge difference to how people rode except for the last few hundred metres, but fun all the same.

Interesting to see how teams with multiple leaders play it e.g. Visma LAB with Jorgenson and Vingegaard

What's the team time taken on ? Like a normal stage 3rd man or what?

Each rider gets the time they cross the line at. So teams can end with as many, or as few, riders as they choose.

I want to see a TTT in this format with a huge "you need to change bike" climb tacked on the end, just for the chaos 😅

For the team classification it's combined first three riders like a road stage ?
