New frame suggestions

Hello everyone, first time posting, not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. Right now I have Nukeproof Giga 290 2022 model that is a size too large for me, right now I’m looking at the Santacruz megatower frame and was wondering if the parts would fit. I’m fairly new to mountain biking so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You might be better asking on a dedicated Mountainbike site like single track. As there’s very few people posting on this site.

^ Oh while he's correct that there aren't many active user on here, there are a few still kicking about.

In short, yes you should have no issues. Both frames are typically set up with 1*12 speed drivetrains, have a standard threaded 73 mm BSA bottom bracket shell, use a 31.6mm dropper post, and the rest is just fit whatever you have for bars, stems, etc.

You need to check to ensure that your fork will fit. I'm thinking of steerer length. You should be ok going to a smaller frame though; the only risk you take is having to shorten the steerer or add some spacers.

Check other stuff like front and rear axle width.

I recenty helped my grandson go from an Orange Five RS size Medium to size large. The headtube was 20mm longer on the Large, requiring another fork and selling the old one. The rear axle was 6mm wider on the new frame, requiring a hub axle width conversion kit. (Knowing that such things exist is half the battle :) ). Everything else was a straight swap. Even the chain length was the same becasue the rear centre was 6mm shorter on the 3 years younger frame.

I recommend getting hold of the geometry for each bike.
