    Morning.

Say hi to the Bag Man from me. Hope he's doing OK?

Another day in bed in agony with gut pain. Not even 2x Tramadol hits it. Hot wheat packs and sleep when it comes.

Shame as its a beautiful day here. Fresh and crisp with a light frost. Wifely has cycled off to work.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Odd but the 18yr old is up early for his birthday. As the rest of the family have booked the day off I feel a little guilty, but not that much.

  • Packing for leaving tomorrow, it's now raining and 16c in Christchurch, definitely time to leave!

Looking forward to receiving a boot full of chocolate, booze, etc 😉

Almost awake, better night's sleep, first coffee in progress, get organised inc the baggie procedures, meet up again for more coffee with friends who stayed over in town last night. And 'pray' for some sunshiiine. C'mon!

    Morning folks,

Lovely sunny day but frosty start here in Kentshire. Spent a thrilling hour his morning listening to HR droning on about employee engagement, fortunately I had my coffee machine within reach. Time to do some real work shortly.

Anyhow, managed some weights and press ups with no problems so should be good for a real bike ride soon. Yay.

HR doesn't really exist. HR is just a label for bastardised Personnel management. My degree was in HR. The difference between 'holistic' HRM, 'prescriptive' HRM and the reality is huge. You can pick isolated examples of good HRM practised say at Andersen Consulting but they are few and far between.

It was more that taking a bit of weight on that shoulder and the vibration you get through the bars was going to be a bit painful if I went for a real ride too early.

Good point - should be called personnel. And locked in a dark room with no windows.
