Thursday appears and swiftly vanishes, like the darkness before dawn.

I only say that as I haven’t been to bed yet so Thursday will indeed vanish for the next few hours until the dog wakes up.

Today shall, no doubt involve lots of taxi runs as well as walking a rather hyped up puppy.

I shall return… Just maybe not at 8am.

Morning HD, and every one else. Coffee consumed work here i come. Today's my Friday and it's going to be busy even though only half a day. Take OH to hospital for a F2F appointment for a change later. Will be running later for some well deserved R&R. Enjoy your lie ins peeps.

    Morning folks,

In a slightly chilly Burford again, at least the heating is working this morning. In to the orifice for the managers meeting this morning, deep joy. Should be ok as I’ve been doing my bit at least. Heading back home straight after that as I’m out with previous work lot this evening for my departmental farewell dinner and welcoming my replacement. I know her quite well and she likes a drink, so it should be fun. Hope all the wives and hospitals go well.

    Anyhoo, Morning!

Damp, dark and very cool ahead of Éowyn.

The only upside.is that there hasn't been a long period of rain preceding it.

Cafe in the sticks postponed. Meh.

    Coffee...

Basically we're all broken. In some cases literally.

WFH today as now people know about my collar bone they aren't expecting me to be in much for a while. Although will have to see what the doc says tomorrow about what's needed to fix it.

Is your arm in a sling? How are you sleeping? I have to sleep hugging a pillow to prop my annoying frozen shoulder up, wakes me up a few times but nothing like a broken collar bone would. Can’t sleep on my back due to snoring 💤 😴

OH suffers with dodgy cornea's and specialists are keeping tabs on her because she's had a few balance issues. Hopefully they can help improve things a bit more.

I've got one of those 'butterfly' braces that has a couple of loops attached to a harness at the back that wrap around my arms/shoulder joint and pin the shoulder back a bit/lessens the movement. Sleeping OK really, seem to be OK staying sleeping on my left side and I don't seem to move around while asleep causing aches. Not actually taking any painkillers currently.

Just up at a Quail Island Hut, quite cool place, just outside Christchurch, no coffee but bacon rolls due soon. Interesting "sleep" will need snooze later! Tuneful dawn chorus from the bell birds.

    Currently mainly still unbroken.

    Wind? Anyone got wind?

Not even a flutter of leaves or a bending of bough here.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

A bit of that here, suspect it will be worse tomorrow, just had curry and a few pints with former colleagues and my replacement. Probably feel like too many pints come the morning, I will state my hatred for TLW and his lack of hangovers now in anticipation, the bastard 🤬
