Morning
Very foggy overnight. I told Beans "Look; the sky has fallen on our heads and we're still alive".
He's out there in the gloom somewhere.
Porker tinkering + pedal today (if the fog lifts). Yesterday it lifted and the day improved exponentially.
More coffee...

Evening , another 21c here in Kiwi land. Ferried child to swim lessons, visited air force museum for the cafe (cool museum), then walk to a playpark with child and dog. Working out how to watch Tour Down Under as Discovery Plus not available here.
Coffee is good here though.

Morning
Rather grim here 4 degrees and dank. Checked the drains to cheer myself up. Build up to yet another turbo session.

Morning all. Currently damp and dismal here. Currently got the headache from hell, managed to bang head working under a machine. Sporting a big white mardy patch covering the resultant gash. OH will go apeshit later when she sees it, unlike some people I have no early warning system / padding called hair. Riding later with mates.

Find a mountain and take binoculars?

away with work for a few days, so thankfully avoid that rubbish commute for a while

'noon
day of laziness with minimal wfh and maximal coffee
use a vpn service that allows you to choose country (nordvpn basic is all you need), set it to oz, and register for free with sbs ondemand
do not go to the sbs site from a non-oz ip address as it can detect this and block you even once on vpn, use an incognito browser session to explore sbs
if you don't want to subscribe to nordvpn (you can also watch iplayer this way when not in uk) there's a free trial option...

Afternoon People,
Decent nights sleep considering. Busy first morning back WFH, catching up with the usual junk that built up over the last few days but it's under control. Got a referral from my GP after a quick call (shockingly quick response), so onwards to sorting out my collar bone on BUPA.

trip to physio who re-diagnosed my shoulder pain as a frozen shoulder and not a tear, my second in 3 years, yawn, but at least I know how to rehab.

Brightened up. Pedalled. It's quite good this outdoor pedalling malarkey.

Afternoon. At hospital for a biopsy on my ear. Wasn't expecting it but they had a cancellation so snapped it up.
Maybe I have skin cancer to top it all! Marvellous! Just Marvellous!

Evening folks,
Another day in west Oxfordshire, I think I saw a bit of blue sky at one point, maybe I was hallucinating. Miserable drive up, took more than half an hour longer than usual as apparently there’d been an accident on the A40, thankfully Waze noticed and diverted me northwards and around. The fog certainly didn’t help matters.
How did PN69 know I would be playing the trombone today. I didn’t even know myself until I was holding it at about 11am. Team building session playing brass instruments, I picked a trombone for comedy value of hitting people with the extend bit. Turned out to be good fun, but I don’t have a career change planned asa result.
I’ll go for a wander soon before dinner in a pub nearby.
That’s dull to say the least. I guess it’s better to find it now and get it sorted whilst still dealing with the rest of it, rather than when everything else is rosy.

Weeeel that was a waste of time! Got through all the preliminary forms and questions. Signed it. Then more questions about blood thinners. No. Blood count. Mention low platelet count 7 weeks ago so they checked history and as that incident was 57 and my last test was two weeks back they couldn't do biopsy due to risk of big bleeds later on.
Bah! At least I got some exercise. Bloody nearly killed me! So unfit.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Cheers thanks for that

At least I won't have to stand on my head as well

If you keep things up you can be Ricks replacement as the unluckiest on the forum.

A spot of good news for a change, junior has landed her first job before even qualifying - received and just accepted an offer from a local vet practice starting in September. So she also gets a well deserved 3 month break over the summer before work life starts. Rather proud of her.

As she’s got some spare time, she could fix that collarbone for you. You might get it sorted quicker.

She doesn't finish uni 'till early June - can't wait that long...

You never know what she might be repairing given the state of UK health care these days.

I've asked BUPA to fix it for me.

Well done stropyoof. Lad did similar, got offered a job after his exams but before graduating, told them he’d like the summer off so didn’t start until September.

In this case they didn't want/need her to start until then, but it suits her fine.

Last time I went a BUPA hospital the nurses kept referring to the surgeon as a joiner. Not really confidence building.
