Good shout. Saved me £29.99, thanks a lot!
Back to £6.99/month as and when. Keep calm and carry on. 😉

Does that deal cover sports? - ied that it doesn't so I'll check if another way of accessing it cheaply is available.

Discovery is included in the Sky broadband package.

Never had Sky (in any format) in my entire life.
Good to know for the future though.

We changed from BT when we moved house. Sky was much cheaper and they appear to answer the phone when you’ve an issue. They’ve just supplied us with a thing to boost the Wi-Fi as the walls in the new house are rather thick.

I'm thinking of giving Sky a try as I want to switch from Virgin. The only downside seems to be the available broadband speed. I currently get over 300 Mbps with Virgin but it looks like I can only get around 60 Mbps with Sky... so presumably the best I could sign up for is Sky's 75Mps package. The other minor downside it that I get a bit better mobile SIM package with o2 and I have both Virgin and o2. The upside of changing to Sky might n=be that if I can save a shed full of cash. Just need to better understand the Sky package better though. But, good to know I'd get Discovery +.

I have no idea about broad band speeds but our experience with Sky so far is. TV is run through the inter web and has been fine. We had problems with using the internet in the kitchen as the router is in the dining room and the wall between it and the kitchen is 3 foot thick.Mrs W had problems using her desk top upstairs in a room above the kitchen. She got in touch with Sky and got straight through compared with hours with BT and they sent out a booster which arrived in a couple days. Now it’s full signal in the kitchen and the desk top seems to be working fine.
They also said if things were still problematic they would send out an engineer. Also they were able to install much quicker than BT and there seems to be a lot more free TV channels than with BT.

Thanks.... that's useful to know. I must admit I'd be more happy if their 150Mbps package was available to me as I've grown use to the 300Mbps I've got now but I'll certainly consider giving it a go.
