Yes. Seriously, pretty much everyone would know, it's such an iconic tune. You'd be surprised how deeply ingrained the correct pitch is in people's subconscious.

Who was the 18 year old lad who lived in Essex? He had just started cycling and kept posting strava links to his rides. They were all about 1hr long but he thought he was going to become pro as he averaged 18mph. When we dismissed his dreams he threw a strop and disappeared in a flurry of insults.

manc33 is/was active on cyclingUK forum, and after he got binned off or left BR, I did check his posts on cUK for a while, though that was some years back. The level of weirdness / flat earth / conspiracy BS did diminish over time so less 'interesting' 😉
