I have a friend in France who's cat bit him and this caused infection, an operation and now a skin graft plus heaps of antibiotics. I kid you not.
6 to 8 months to reach full functionality he has been told.
However, I was going to send him this pic with a caption, like:
"Next time i'll chew your arm off" Do you think he'll find it funny?

Yes. If he doesn't, reply with a simple meow.pinno said:...

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -
Who thought they could be so dangerous.
Actually, my mum ended up in hospital on a drip because of a small cat bite. They said she could have lost her arm if she'd delayed going in.

Depends on the friend, but cat bites are bad. Their saliva is full of fairly nasty bacteria.pinno said:I have a friend in France who's cat bit him and this caused infection, an operation and now a skin graft plus heaps of antibiotics. I kid you not.

Let's hope his keyboard has extra big keys or else it could be a bit tricky to type with paws.
What get's me is that it was his own cat. I have never been bitten severely by one of my own cats.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
There's a wide range of cat personalities. Siamese are renowned for being moody and Bengals can be quite bitey. They all have their limits - often crossed when they're not feeling well.pinno said:Let's hope his keyboard has extra big keys or else it could be a bit tricky to type with paws.

Do people not at least wash with some soap if they've been bitten by an animal?- Genesis Croix de Fer

You'd think so, but clearly not enough. The last couple of years have demonstrated that the average person has a poor grasp of how pathogens are spread.pangolin said:Do people not at least wash with some soap if they've been bitten by an animal?

Not sure whether this should have gone in the World Cup thread but, seeing as there's cats on here, here's Phil Foden as a cat:

Isn't the problem with cat bites the bacteria-laden sharp teeth that deliver an unhealthy dose deep under the skin or into a joint? In that case, washing's not going to make much of an impact, I suspect...0 -
