same bike from 2007 and 2021: identical geometry?

I have been riding the same Cannondale Synapse , bought 2007, I remember trying it in the shop and it fit perfect.

Now I'm buying a Cannondale Synapse 2021. But I buy it online, without trying size and geometry.
Can one safely assume the size and geometry are identical? After all is the "same" bike from the same manufacturer...

I already checked on 99spoke, they don't list that old Synapse

I seem to remember at least one fairly major update to the Synapse where they changed the geometry.

Geometry geeks is a great website that allows you to compare bike geometry.

Cannonade make an aluminium and a carbon synapse and I think there have always been small differences in the geometry between these.

    Thanks a lot.
My Synapse 2007 is too old for Geometry bikes. The oldest Carbon Synapse there is 2013. And much to my surprise, the Synapse Carbon 2013 and 2022 do show differences.

I was assuming they simply "froze" the geometry and maybe slightly changed the materials or the components, well I was wrong...

Well, you have the geometry of the new one and you can measure the old one.
That at least lets you figure out the changes and whether it's acceptable to you.

    Thanks for comments.

Yeah, long thorn between Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra disc, and Canyon Ultimate CF.
I have (almost) bought the Synapse.

I've always loved my present Synapse (apart from the rim brakes), so buying another Synapse is a safe bet.

Plus, Im getting a new 2021 Synapse for 3000€. List price 3600€ before the shop lowered to 3200€, and I got it down to 3000€. For a top quality new carbon disc Ultegra bike without waiting months. LI think it's a very good deal.

Pity I'm left with my 2007 Synapse. Still too good to dump it, and already too old to sell it for more than peanuts. And I already have a cheap and crappy bike x the turbo. So what to do with the 2007 Synapse?

Keep it anyway for doing the shopping?
Sell it to a friend for €50?
Give it to a charity to give to someone who needs it to get a job?
Put it on eBay described as "vintage" "classic" and sell it for 1000€

Do you not have winters where you live. If so use it during that season.
