Canyon size anyone?
If yes, how tall are you and what size is the bike?
I'm 177-178cm. I'm very surprised their website says I need S (for both: Ultimate, and Endurace). I tried S and they were both very small. I also tried Endurace-M and it was small too. Ultimate-M was good.
My current Cannondale Synapse is 56cm and fits me perfect. The closest match, from Canyon website, would be their size L for , with top tube length 558mm.
Of course top tube length is not all. But if I had to cut it down to one number that's the most significant one.
I will try size Endurace-L today. And again Ultimate-L and Ultimate-M.

I have an Ultimate (2018 model) in a medium and I'm 182 cm tall. A large would have been too big for me. Their sizes come up big, and you cetainly won't want a large unless you have a really long back!0

Thanks a lot.0

Same as above. I’m 182-183cm with 89cm inside leg. So I’m near the top end for medium but medium Canyon endurace fits me perfectly, better than my previous road bike which was a large.
Did you try your friends Canyons? We’re they set up right for you?Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0 -
Thanks.
I tried at Canyon shop here in Hamburg (their ONLY shop, in Germany at least).
Didn't bother with the setup. Will try again before buying.
If I were to buy CF SL, it sucks that for slightly less weight comes at extra cost AND lesser chance to fine tune the geometry (integrated cockpit, rather than separate stem + handlebar). But this is a well known thing...0 -
Agree. Don’t like intergrated cockpits and would have chosen the lighter/cheaper rim brake version if available.pep.fermi said:Thanks.

I went to the Canyon shop again today.
These two fits me both well:
Endurance L
Ultimate M
(of course I adjusted seat high, and seat backward/forward position)
I know they are (supposedly) different type of bicycle.
If I had to buy now I would buy Ultimate M.
Considering the adjustment one can do, seat height, seat backward forward position, stem length and height and angle... not sure the difference in frame geometry, race vs endurance, is so critical...0 -
