Pure Colombian #1 ready while perusing stuff before another Friday workgroup sesh in t'meadows down by the river. Forecast says midday before 'feels like' temp loses its negative prefix. Wrap up warm lad.

Wierd weather, 1 degree but no frost and didn't feel cold. Maybe the thermometers are conspiring against us.

Arm is hurting today. Wrong one to #wankitout too.

The forecast is cloud, cloud cloud with a bit more cloud. I think it's set to be cloudy all next week too.
I would prefer sunny and frosty.
Meeting later but not a lot else really.

Same, it was supposed to be -3 this morning, clear skies but less frost than the previous warmer morning. 🤷‍♂️

Sitting in a nice warm man cave (TM Stevo 666), although I did need to put myself on mute in my first call while I had the fan heater on full blast to get it up to operating temperature.

Off to see the consultant at lunchtime for the results of last week's MRI scan on my prostate - I guess if it had come up with something unpleasant they would have called me sooner. Famous last words...

Nothing even remotely frosty about here today, postcard perfect summer day.

Two walks this morning because I slept badly and was awake early, then a second with OH later. Trip to radiography clinic to get foot checked - seems no residual stuff left in it, just a lot of scar tissue and inflammation still, after 2 months!

Got the all clear from the consultant - absolutely nothing wrong apparently. Apart from the £100 excess on the BUPA policy. Better safe than sorry though. Wahey.

Excellent news! Bet you are relieved. I'm off for a finger bumming next week. (with the docs if you were in any doubt)

Thanks! Tbh I haven't really been worried as the PSA blood test came back normal a couple of days after the, er fingerings and the dof was always at pains to say this was just to be 100% sure. Ended up doing an hour in an MRI scanner last week to do just that.

I didn't think you'd be admitting to any other type of finger bumming on a public forum :) But good luck with that.

Was the excess for the mri or the finger bumming?
  • Stevo_666Stevo_666 Posts: 53,679
The excess was for 5 minutes with the consultant where he told me I needed an MRI. Good hourly rate!

That would have been OK if it had been an attractive female doctor....

There is a benefit for the doctor. It helps them to stop biting their nails.

Aye well, browsing the posts from today on topics various on here tells me again 'tis good to be offline and out doing real stuff in the real world out there. (Good result btw S666).

'kin cold day in The Valley down by The River. Hazel coppicing. Good crew, lots of good chats and humour while we all work together for the benefit of wider society and the natural world. Plus one of the gals wot bakes brought a box of chocolate fudge brownies for us to share, bl**dy good, big up to her.

So that's me chilled. Bar open. Think I'll watch some actual telly when the Meat Loaf doc is on BBC4 at 9.

    Evening folks,
Busy day of WFH dealing with the usual nonsense. EPO and lad are out so female child and I having a quiet night in with take away pizza.
I looked at the bargains thread earlier and seem to have ordered a set of wheels from CRC, whoops.

I've been fine all along apparently, but the doc that did the DRE recommended I got an MRI to make sure all was OK.

Finger bumming went well today. Doc says very slightly enlarged but surface smooth and regular so he wasn't concerned. Overall quite reassured.

Now off to change me keks. That last fart felt a little bit weird....

Might sound a bit odd to congratulate someone on a successful fingerbumming but good news :)
