Though I have to say that driving a beaten up F you L200 pickup truck does mean the Karens and Nigels do realise, OMG 😳, that they can't always drive like non gender specific d1cks 😊. GTF ya waynes,

Can we have some of whatever you've been smoking Loon? :)

Must admit I don't enjoy driving any more, at least not in the South East, too much traffic and too many tossers. No point having any more than 29 mph around here, nearly always quicker by bike, although that does turn me into a sweaty mess this week. Motorways are full of impatient tw@s driving too close, or idiots that don't know about keeping left.
The drive to Italy is alright once I've cleared northern France, I try to avoid busy areas. Although driving in Milan every few years is strangely entertaining.

Anyway, big cars are just for people who can't make small cars go fast.

I really tried to make my kid's 60bhp Polo go fast the other day but it didn't work. There's not a lot satisfaction from driving everywhere with your foot nailed to the bulkhead and still getting out-dragged away from the traffic lights by a fully laden milk float.

See there's the challenge - to be able to get it up to a decent speed by time you reach the corner...

You need to find a bigger hill to go down.

drive it like you stole it.

    exit driveway

    turn the bangin' tunes up

    pedal to the metal

    never, ever EVER slow down

    arrive at destination

stop laughing about 3 hours later

Small slow cars can still be fun, try driving a Mini. Years ago we had a race with mates of my cousin's, all of us in Fiat 500s. Four abreast down Porta Palio in Verona, braking was for wimps. An absolute hoot, well, lots of Italians hooted at us anyway. I say Fiats, we were in my grandad's Autobianchi complete with fins and 2 tone paint. Same under the skin though, 499cc and couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.

You need some, which kiddo's Polo does not have.

But lots of power = lots of fun :) Especially when it handles well too.

    I prefer Bach.
More power than a car can handle is entertaining, certainly keeps you awake.

I've just realised that the Aygo's power to weight ratio far exceeds that of Stevo's thing so the Aygo is actually more of a racing car than before.

But yes, a modicum of bad handling always makes it more fun - not a total shed, but enough so that you can have a laugh, not get out at the end of the drive deeply unsatisfied.

Turning the traction control off can have a similar effect for me :)
