Today, I will again be loafing from home. No dog of any description to walk, just a cat to serve.
Bike and sun cream may be the order of the day.

Half day to do some sorting, paperwork and walk the dogs. Junior is on day 2 of her placement so had to get up early for a change. Out for dinner round at my cousins place tonight, will make a change.

Rode to work, got a day of writing stuff ahead plus a duty at lunchtime. No teaching because exams! Meeting before home then sufferfest tonight and hopefully a nice dinner. Looking forward to watching anime with my eldest before bed.

Riding to work is always fun. I’m a 10 minute walk or 45-60 minute bike ride away 😆

...and you had better do it well or you'll never be forgiven.

Dull but mild here. Tricky imported some sort of lurgy and i'm coughing all sorts. Just the right foundation for Jab number 2 at a very precise 2.23pm.

Will do some painting of book shelves

What's happening at the weekend TLW?

Sounds nice, 100k, not too much climbing, lots of sunshine, all day to do it.
Website says something about "drink stops" en route.

Best wishes to OH and yersel' 'Spinner.

Beer opened in the sun, barbie to follow. Ok it's only Tuesday but hey, hot sun, work work morning, then in afternoon shovelled, barrowed and levelled couple of tonnes of mixed gravel. Sorting out pantsy back garden of this rental place, owner paying for the materials, think she got a good deal there, should have banged on an extra margin for some extra cervezas. Anyways, looks a damn sight better now than when I moved in. And the 'hog alleys are also looking good.

Maple pork steaks, chorizo sausages, home made potato salad, mixed salad leaf from the array springing up in t'pots. Umbrella up. Must be summer.

Yup, it's summer. Had dinner, which was not memorable. But now having a bit of a sit where it's nice and cool. Like a speckled frog, but not sat on a speckled log. Nor have I jumped into a pool, though that would also be acceptable.

Probably the last pick of wild garlic leaf to use in the potato salad. Flowers over and done, leaves starting to droop, end of spring. Wild garlic is just so so tasty.

As in so many things, you are absolutely correct. Pesto, risotto, chopped into a salad as you're doing. All done for a while now where I pick it, though MiL still has some at the end of her garden.

You have a point elbow, but I tend to think of it as suffocating dolphins...

Never sure what is the environmemtal difference between cooling in summer and heating in winter. The cooling feels more decadent. But it's also in a very well insulated "shoffice". Mrs H³ also therefore works from home 100%, thus saving energy that way.

I cycle more miles than I drive, and most of the short trip miles we drive are off the battery now.

It kind of bothers me, but like I said, no-one cares about heating space when it's cold.

Tl;dr - I'm conflicted, but a cool work space in summer seems as essential as a warm space in winter.
