Tuesday's grief.

Morning All. WFW, looks like I'm looking after things as usual colleague is off for a few days. I expect today to be full of BS and CBA from a few people a their last shift. Suspect the daily spin will be full of doom and gloom from a gazillion miles away from the UK as usual. At least it's not frosty out. Enjoy the daily grind peeps.

    Morning,

Walk hounds, gentle run and then work stuff. Later is undecided, but obviously won’t be out for a nice meal or to the pub

Morning, milder , tigger walked, just having a coffee before I decide what to do with the lawn , a high cut then scarify or visa versa, decisions decisions
    Bike riding later
    Have a good day

Morning, no bike ride to work for me as I need to take one of the cars in for its MOT after work. Waste of a nice day.

New bike arrived yesterday but not sure at this rate I'll have the time before the weekend to open up the box! Life admin and baby nibnob keeping me occupied.

nippy ride, cafe, more webex, you'd think one would be enough, but they keep on popping up again, bubbly

    Good Moaning
Greenhouse duties completed and its nippy out and definitely grey. I do hope the sun comes out before the wind gets up. A blue sky a so much happier horizon than a grey one.
More tea then ride, for fun not work. No pubs yet so just ride

    5 hours of webex/teams.
    Lose will to live.
Going to try and get an hour on my bike.

i declined all except the one i arranged, frees up time to do something more useful

heavy traffic for ride, combination of school runs, public transport avoiders and the exponentially sprouting temporary traffic lights of hs2 and g.network

Sat at home with the BT man trying to fix the broadband. Hoping it was an easy fix but now involves lots of new cables and holes in the house 😕

    Ask SG for some corks.

Me stacking wood today me. It's dull and to kick start the girls Easter break, forecast for the end of the week is white stuff.
I did say this winter had one more bite in it.

Hoping my saplings arrive so that I can chop up the pallet for kindling.

Me too. Fired up the hydraulic log splitter this morning and finally finished that pile at almost 5pm. Have another heap about 2/3 the size to do. Gadget does an awesome job, if a little messy, but waaaaaaaaay easier than the axe.

Random other jobs fitted in around that.

Bit crackered now. Attempting the whisky adjustment.

Yeah I don't mind using the axe for a bit of exercise, but not when there's 4 ton of old dry hardwood to do... :)

You could get one of those wedge ones and use a sledgehammer on it.

Went back to sleep, woke up late, struggling to move. Only went for 15 miles on the bike yesterday
Been out to look at some more stuff, put 40kg of fuel in the car, pumped up the flat tyre and got a coffee on the way back - productive.

Comes in handy for those domestic situations as well.

In the box on the hamster wheel again today. Planning days back in the office to break things up a bit, would be a shame to miss out on excuses to ride with the weather getting better and clocks going forward this weekend.

    :D

With a bit of the old stuff from last season still laying about, that lot oughtta do us for most of winter. Although, I am also having a second wood heater installed which may up the burn rate somewhat.

I wouldn't mind a hydraulic splitter, I used my neighbours tractor mounted one last year and it was great.

New car arrived this morning, gutless beemer is being collected this afternoon
