Early start as youngest rugrats birthday, so had to walk hounds before his organised wake up time of 6:30 🙄

Work stuff, socially distancing meeting of grandparents, etc

Chosen meal is from the chippy, confused by this but oh well

Work work day. Going to be one of those grey claggy days again. I miss the sunshine already. More yew trees to shift into hedge soundproofing locations, smaller ones this time, round up the self-set bonuses.

Long day ahead. Virtual meeting later to drink some beers in front of cameras. Weird times.

Budget day today so I may be busy this afternoon. Will enjoy the comparative peace of the morning for now.

Not sure if I'm looking forward to the budget or not this time. Although I suspect the crappy stuff will come out in a few months time. On a good note first of sixteen has had his first back to school covid test and tested negative, another on Friday then back to school Monday hopefully. The OH did say he'd tested positive for mad cow disease though, I did suggest that those results might be hers though. She,s taken the huff with me for some reason now. ;)

    Re-stocked the plaster store?

Happy birthday TLW's rugrat. How old is he?
Why did you move house?! I still don't understand.

Foggy here and coooooold, brrr. Baskets*. It was lovely a few days ago. Both bikes are shiny shiny and ready to roll. Do I go outdoor pedalling or indoor? That is the question.

    *I blame council cutbacks.

Budget is going to be depressing no way round it, so many sectors of industry cap in hand begging for bail outs, furlough extension, massive hike in NHS spending, paying for the vaccine and a spike in unemployment he will have to up taxes somewhere to claw back the sieve like spending. Of course the opposition will carry on saying they wouldn't touch tax as it makes them appear high an mighty.

Anyway less politics wiffle. Currently sat slurping coffee debating which of the tasks I have today to start with, I'm preferring none currently but they need sorting.

Sat scrolling through the news this morning then a FB memory popped up which prompted me to scroll through Strava to look at running pace which turned into browsing photos of my most recent cycling jaunt in Italy.

How to make ones self miserable in three easy steps...

Probably go for a run later.

I don't mind paying a bit more tax for a year, hardly spent anything since last March!

You can shuddup too. You'll rattle Stevo's cage and then it will get seriously boring.

Anyhoo - found the file with the glitch in it yet?
Bad news - LH is going for his 8th and your lot are experimenting with a new home built power unit.
I suppose you could add pedals and then they will be hybrid's. I bet there's nothing in the rules about that.

I would fully understand that. I'd much rather have good fish and chips from a decent chippy than most other foods.

I don’t really do takeaways so want something different when I do.

Here you go, best budget ever.

Put up corporation tax > 20% to make mine and Stevo's job a little easier with Japan.

Shove a couple of pence on the basic rate, couple of pence on the higher rate. Leave the top rate where it is.

Freeze thresholds for the remainder of parliament.

Abandon the "triple lock" on pensions, for something a bit less generous.

Reduce tax relief on pension contributions to basic rate only.

We're out of the EU now, so I' m going to batter VAT up to 25%, and fcuk the fact that's really regressive, after all, I'm Rishi, I've got pots of cash, and so do all my mates.

Reduce duty on ciggies and alcohol so people don't care about the above.

What are you going to do about it? We've got most of 4 more years, by which time you'd have got used to it. Fcuk the manifesto, who reads that shyte anyway.

    Sits down. Sips whisky.
