    Good luck Oxo

Day started badly, walked into a cold kitchen so realised straight away the aga is ucked, luckily workmen not here yet so grabbed the kettle to ensure tea was enjoyed whilst walking hounds.

Work stuff and trying to organise an aga engineer followed by a long(ish) run, hopefully meeting a pal for the last 7 miles, so a good catch up whilst the wife deals with the sparky - think this is going to cost me

    Ciao

lazy start as don't have to be at work until 9, so lazing on the couch be taking hound for a walk and going for a wander workwards
    .
The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

EMERGENCY! I need winter headwear advice.

I’ve lost my dhb scull cap again 😔 This may sound trivial but it’s my most favouritist scull cap ever and they don’t make them anymore 😔 I’ve had to replace it twice before and I promised the last cap I’d look after it properly 😩 I turned the house upside down and found 5 scull caps, all of which I hate 😡 Why can’t I look after stuff!!!!???

lay in? up at 4-ish, i've been holding back in the hope that others would present new concepts in thread titling

rain hasn't really got going so far, i'm off out

What advice do you need? Suggestions on where it is or alternative skullcap suggestions?

If it's the latter, I have a Specialized one that works wonderfully.

Morning all, btw. WFH. Rest day. New phone is arriving later.

No rain here. Bear with a sore head today - whacked it on the boot latch while putting shopping in the car last night so might fork out for some new gas struts for it.

The council have finally been out and cleaned up the sht off the road from the floods a week and a bit ago, but I suspect they only did the bit outside peoples' houses to shut them up so I think I'll be cautious and take the MTB along the next time I go that way.

Food delivery at 6am, then had to get boy to nursery.

Have a spark in today to have a look at our new fuse box that keeps tripping and to put a light in our new toilet under the stairs. Exciting.

Ah you're the person who chooses the 6-7am slot. I thought we were early birds, we go for the 7-8am slot.

"Putting a light in the downstairs toilet"... euphemism?

We didn't choose it, it was the only one left.

No, not a euphemism. Not this time.

We go for 7-8am as it lets us get it packed away and on with work. Went for 8-9am this week though, because it was just too early.

Same weather as Dave, are you local? GET OUT MY VILLAGE! *waves a stick of celery angrily*

Some rather un inspiring work to do today around testing. Hopefully I can blag that away and do more important things like nap.
Actual plan today is to make some headphone patch cables though this may prove awkward seeing as I have only half a headphone jack and the wrong cable so far, an i'm not trying to run 6mm van damme XKE twin core in a braid to get the extra core I need. No doubt be an ebay expedition later to find someone selling meter lengths of what I need vs a 100m drum because that's just excessive.
  • When SG says "cafe" what he really means is queuing in the rain for a cup of builders tea from the butty van.
Cold and damp here so thankful for my mug of tea whilst driving the desk this week.

Probably a run later, I might even get to 10k in a few weeks.

I did a new thread title theme and I was very happy to do it. It would be an honour*.

*Except I got told off by that Seano bloke and there is not a cats chance in hell that I will be up at silly o'clock.

Dull and windy here. Snow turned to rain. Booo!

That's a lot of time on t'interweb.... Is it a ruby milestone?

Late start indeed. Put back my work work until afternoon. Fortunately today's is only a 4h slot and it's staying lighter later now. C'mon the springtime. Totally pants night's sleep. I made a lamb pilaff dish last night, tweaking the recipe, tasted good but jings the indigestion in the night... 😫

    Lightweight :)

Busy morning, only just about to brew up my first cup of coffee. Gopping outside so I'm keeping my head down and may go for a bike ride tomorrow if it's any better.

FWIW a plain old thread title is sometimes welcome, if only to make you wonder what SG is smoking when he thinks his thread titles up :p

  • Yeah Wednesday. Turned out a lovely day, somewhat spoilt by spending a fair chunk of it pulling overgrown garden stuff out. Digging out roots was not my idea of a fun thing to do but hey ho.

Blood test in the morning. Grrrr. WOFTAM (usually).

    Dynamite?
More fun and it would smashed it up, set it on fire and probably launched it over your neighbour's fence all in one go.

The neighbour's fence is 250 metres away... need a big bang to shift stuff that far.. :-) There's now a substantial pile of stuff in the paddock, and a match with a small dose of accelerant would do the job nicely... but it's summer and bushfire season innit... permits are required to burn anything outdoors bigger than a lamb chop on the barbie.
