Sunday's roads of glass.

Morning sleeping beauties, sadly at work today. Last night's snow has left a lovely legacy around my area, the roads are slick with ice. Drive in will be interesting. Enjoy your last day off work and stay safe.

Morning, roads and paths in the same state here, yesterday’s rain, sleet ,snow now frozen, just walked the dog very dangerous indeed. I for one will not be riding outdoors today
    Have a good day

We avoided the snow yesterday so going to try a run. Then a few jobs such as move my desk as the kids will be wandering around for the next few weeks.

Then meet some pals for fun bike stuff.

Where did the snow come from @oxoman

Up here in the Peak District there is more grass than snow, but it hasn't stopped the Tier 4 daytrippers being out en masse, already.

An actual day off is on the cards for me, the first for ages, probably the last for even longer, so domestic goddess duties this morning before losing myself in books, the newspaper and making plans for the year ahead this afternoon.

Cook this evening and hopefully a day of doing as little as possible will have been accomplished, while keeping the Covid hordes at arms length.

On another tack... my foot hurts.
Jack got impatient with me and attacked it.
    I chucked him out.
Then when he was let back in, he ran upstairs quickly growling as he passed.

...and all because of a meaty stick that I would have given him had he waited.

Spent the morning finishing the garden pruning job. Lazy ride round local trails on Lefty this afternoon, then drinks and risotto for dinner.

    Sunset just now...

I was beginning to think the she-doctor had done CB in.

    Morning folks,
Last slow start for the next week or so. Looks rather moist out, might go for another walk to the old dear's. Hopefully the rain will keep the phucktards indoors.

Just pooped my head into the 'rona virus thread.
No wonder I had a few days off post Christmas.
If the UK had half the experts that post in there in reality, C19 would have been defeated before it even started.

    Morning peeps,

Peaceful morning as Stressbag is walking the hounds again today. May as well get started on the porridge and coffee. Sadly work beckons tomorrow.

Went for a walk along the Narnia Trail. Boy decides to roll down a slope of wet, sticky, clay mud and gets covered head to foot in the stuff. He's then too tired to walk anymore and o have to carry the messy thing round and back to the car.

Afternoon, no signs of snow here just rain, a lot of it. Wobbled round the villages took in some decent climbs an tried out my new bibtights. Crimbo gift from the OH. Very comfortable an warm now laying on the sofa deciding what to conjure for dinner

New bibtights, also proof of lack of snow (I guess?)

I initially misread one of the words on the bib tights and thought maybe she doesn't like you that much :)

Walked to the old dear's via the scenic route, at least by big smoke standards.

Strange milestone that isn't by Beverly Brook

Found the boardwalk section but it stops over the worst of the quagmire then starts again. Presumably the bad bit rotted first so they removed it.

Had a cup of tea the tried to take the shorter route home. The underpass was a tad damp so I took a slightly longer route.

The hand rail that disappears is waist high.
Got home and the heavens opened a few minutes later so I was very lucky.
    Sorry, no pictures of leg

I've stopped walking the dog down that way for the winter as it gets so boggy. The boardwalk is slowly just rotting away. Big favourite in the summer though as she leaps into the brook.

Not seen that milestone, though there's also a few odd regimental memorials scattered across the common and putney heath. Also a weird horse exercising ring on the common.

I got caught in the hail while out with the dog today. Miserable.

Yes, I know it gets boggy so was wearing appropriate walking boots. Lots of idiots in trainers of course. All sorts of odd memorials and things around as you say.
