Stuck some riser bars on the MTB yesterday as my wrist still can't cope with flats. Hopefully won't hurt but it's not too far if it does.

Managed a whole 14 miles, can barely move my wrist now. Loads of people out, not unexpected. View from the Wimblebergs was gloomy

Give us a clue. Looks familiar
I'm trying to work out which berg. I don't recall such a narrow pavement anywhere.
Cottenham Drive, final approach to the old dear's from the common.
There are now 2 parks on Cottenham Park Road, but Cottenham Park is not one of them, it's on Cambridge Road and Melbury Gardens.

There is a Worple Road in Whitton, but they talk funny over there and pronounce it Wurple.

Tried to get a link to the street view but doesn't seem to have worked:

Once had to ring the fire brigade because some yoofs had set a motorbike on fire on the motorway bridge on the last one. Probably thought it was a prank call.

Ooh. Does she? All those roads worple-ridgeway have some proper posh houses, especially towards the village end, mixed with some much less posh flats.

Might be Frank Spencer Hill, but the one with the elevated pavement where it gets steep. Just above the steep bit on the left as you cough a lung up having done the hard work.

Roads are more than roads. They have meanings, history, they lead to the future and from the past.

They curve and wander, they take you to happuness and lead to sadness.

They also pass the local chippie and Chinese take away.

Roads are your best friend and worst enemy.

Hence all the weird street names round here. Local dignitaries/politicians. Probably the guys who paid to build the houses too, and their kids.
