Sad Friday.

Morning sleepy heads, last day on shift and hopefully the big cheese will sod off early. Sad news another part of my childhood has left this mortal place. Dame Barbara Windsor. Didn't like her in soaps but she was bloody good in comedy and theatre. Hopefully beat SG.

Morning, raining , dog walked and dried, coffee in hand, not sure what’s on the cards today jane wants to visit Louth later.
    Have a good day
  • Mornin'

A night of no sleep leaves CB feeling morose.

I wonder who will get on the wrong side of me today, could do with a humdinger of an argument to work the negativity out of my brain and body.

Reckon I'll be starting with Virgin Media first thing as I've had no internet connection all night, when I'm supposed to be doing productive planning stuff for the buiness.

At least I've been able to procrastinate listening to Hardcore Punk and remembering what is important in life, not the pursuit of money, that's for sure.

Time for a strong black coffee, then out for a run and some calisthenics to get the body and brain focusing on another day of graft.

Luckily, I'm off to get the head shaved later, No1 it is then, followed by a spot of shopping for new shoes and a decent suit, now that I'm a streamlined whippet

Was going to go out but it's pouring down, contrary to the forecast. Let's see if it brightens up this time like it's promised (and like it promised the other day but didn't).
Other than that, more getting frustrated at WFH tasks.

Wet outside, which made the walk followed by run rather unpleasant, or was that the ale last night?

WFH followed by drinking either here or there

Morning, weather here to is a lie, Met Office reckon its sunny, the view out my window says otherwise.
More work based shennigans, seems DPD are having issues. Word of warning if you get any parcels that have blatantly been re taped up check the contents before the driver goes. Seems they are going through some goods. Already down 5 laptops from our roll out due to this.

Anyway more importantly it is Friday, last race of the season coming up, an just looked out the window, its now foggy. It wasn't ten minutes ago!

    Ciao

Damp cold and wet unfortunately but nothing too bad tbh.

Just about to leave morning car park to the day goes - shouldn't be too bad go to work, lets see how it all goes.

They came to deliver something for me yesterday but just gave it straight to the neighbour.
Seem to be having issues with Royal Mail at the moment: Christmas cards posted over a week ago seems to have just arrived but packages/parcels still haven't shown up.

In the office today, got a bit sweaty on the way in as it was warmer than it looked from the window first thing and my new communting jacket is a bit boil in the bag despite looking pretty lightweight. Good weight loss training though, so am treating myself to a pork pie shortly to compensate

Stropteen now home but still doing lectures online - not a skivers course for sure, she's working longer hours than me at the moment.

Parcel posts been rubbish most of the year, most places blaming Covid rather than fixing their supply chains. Least its RM not Hermes, if so check your roof parcels probably up there.

My Fed ex next day delivery came 3 days late.

It has been so soggy of late. Prefer colder and dry TBH. It was so dark at 8am.

    Must do some work...

Thanks for your kind offer Seano, but you can carry on with your supermodel diet. (It's more polite than saying **** off >:) )

WFH, then hopefully get a bit of a flyer as we're going to Norfolk for a few days to do our annual trip to see the baby seals at Horsey Gap and Blakeney Point.

    Come back Wednesday!

  • Online shopping is up 50% on last year.
Expect delays to increase as Christmas approaches.

I'm turning work away at the present time, not helped by having a dozen cargobikes on order that can't be delivered because of the delays at Felixstowe.

Delivery bikes to speed up deliveries delayed during delivery. One for the irony thread.

V late start. Woke up, turned over, back to sleep, then it's 0930. Just as well not a working day for me.

Meeting some friends later on in t'pub for some pre Christmas drinks, only day that works for all. Being 'tier 2' (thanks Spaffer and your cohort of useless tw@ts) is an outside under cover with heaters table of 6 for a 3 hour timeslot. Welcome to the Machine.

    Merry bleeping Christmas indeed.

The pork pie slap in the face humiliation has forced me to comfort my pain away with some nice steak later. Plenty of seasoning, medium rare, basted in plenty of butter, garlic and rosemary 😋

Morning, I realise the last time I posted was at the beginning of April :o

Not sure why I stopped posting but it is also around the same sort of time I started actively wasting my money on AIM rather than bikes. I can safely say that investing forums are filled with a lot more waffle than even here...

In case anyone is interested, the synopsis is job quit, wife wifed (in October eventually), honeymoon was honeymooned (Mull rather than Italy), and new job jobbed (or will in January).

You'll have to fill me in on the happenings of the last 9 or 10 months, I hope everyone is well and the impact of covid hasn't been too harsh on anyone

    - bb is still mostly ok
    - pinno recently made an epic lego thing
    - i went on planes, swigged bubbly, ate cake, had hols in lanzarote, mostly worked from home with the odd foray elsewhere

All the hopes and prayers worked! Hayden returneth!

Congrats on wedding and new job. Still involving hollering at trees?

Lots of working from home has meant that kms travelled on bicycle have fallen dramatically since the clocks went back, which means my trousers no longer fit so well. Otherwise much the same for me, feeding my cryptic crossword addiction, eating and drinking well in restaurants when allowed, and at home if not. Went to Crete in August, which was farking brilliant.

Struggling with a very teenaged stepson at the moment, who is not doing any work, and so screwing up his mock GCSE's, who also managed to get himself mugged on Monday, and who was then brought home by the police at 3.30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, having sneaked out of our back gate to go skateboarding. Oh yes, he should also have been isolating due to his class mate having a positive covid test, so we have a £200 fine for that, so his Christmas is going to be a bit lean..

The MFs are back after a long period living in a cave, eating beetles, licking a damp patch on the wall, and masturbating furiously to the lingerie section of a Freemans catalogue of uncertain vintage.

On the sad Friday front, the wife is putting one of the cats down today (not the one that's had the diarrhea). This one hasn't been eating all week and it turns out that she has a tumour in her stomach. So we'll be down to 2, from a peak of 4.
