All round winter tyre

Only having one set of wheels and having no idea where to start I'm looking for suggestions for an all round 35mm tire. I'll be using it mainly on the canal towpath, so think a mix of gravel, tarmac and mud.

    Just come across, this thread.
I use Gravel King slick 32mm for winter road riding and they're good. I reckon something like the 35mm SK versions of these, or the Schwalbe G One All-round in 35mm would be ideal for what you're looking for.

I ended up buying challenge grifo's in the end as they where going cheap. Bit of a pain to mount for the first time but I've been happy with them in everything but really heavy mud.
  • I use Panaracer Tour Guard Plus on my cyclocross bike, they're virtually puncture proof (I ride a lot of small country roads and cycle paths which get the worst of the bumps, junk, and hedge clippings), I'll sometimes nip onto the smooth hardcore sections of the local MTB trails, perfect for the cyclocross.
