Cyclist bashing again.😲😖😥

Local press around me cyclist bashing as are the couch potato followers. Apparently mad cyclists attack car driver. Some of the posted comments are quite laughable bordering on insane. Just wish the press wouldn't antagonize people with stupid headlines.

    Those animals :) What are the odds it was a 30mph road him and the other cars were desperately trying to overtake them on.

    Obviously if they actually attacked him - not on.

    Twyford Road appears to be a 50mph road and 40mph going into Willington (google maps) for motor vehicles. But there does seem to be enough of room for a standard overtake of the vehicle in front (ie mirror, signal, manoeuvre).

    Anyway, I’m sure the police will sort it out, the article only has one side of the story, however it’s rare these things are ever updated/concluded in public unless somebody puts in a freedom of information request, gets it and it’s published

    Serves him right for double parking.

    As for "one of them swung his bike at me" they can't have been real cyclists, a real cyclist wouldn't do that with their bike.

    I call bull poo on the whole story. There may have been a follow up altercation but throwing a bike at him?

    How important was it for him to get round the corner to his mates 40 seconds earlier than he would travelling at 30mph behind them?

    Yeah something doesn't add up. Either he annoyed some feral children or nearly killed a group of normal people and got his side of the story in first, before half a dozen independent witnesses contradict it.

    I think your getting close, don't know the lads involved but some club riders I know have commented about what may or may not have actually happened.

    Well, i must say I see the same things too, slow censored cyclists riding side by side and holding other people up.

    I don't see why they would beat someone up when they are clearly in the wrong.

    Did you read it? He said they were going 30mph. That's plenty fast.

    A dangerous close pass which they then object to and it escalates. I wouldn't believe he was beaten up either.
