It may be hard for some of you to believe, but possibly us Brits have been a bit more sensible about things like distancing than our continental counterparts?

You're a bit of a moron if you think people are broadly different between countries.

It's just a function of all the things you lot moan about that you can't compare between nations, weather, density, cultural practices, demographics etc, and then the gov't response.

British exceptionalism is exclusively for tw@ts, and I will die on that hill.

Interesting that you say that when there are posters on here saying that Sweden's approach wouldn't work in the UK because (to paraphrase) we're a bit thick over here.
    When have i said that?
I'm not say it was you, I'm paraphrasing several regular posters.
Right, well the several regular posters aren't saying British exceptionalism is for cUnts, I am.
Well you've since added to your post which confuses things somewhat, but your original post was in response to Stevo saying that the British might be better at social distancing than some on the continent and you said "You're a bit of a moron if you think people are broadly different between countries" and hence my reply, when actually several regular contributors to the topic have made exactly that distinction in staying why Swedens approach wouldn't work in the UK.
Let's watch him wriggle out of that one...
Any thoughts on your faulty logic Rick?

Are you black Rick as if not what you experienced as xenophobia.

    Is it a lesser offence?

It certainly is if it never happened. Maybe he called him orange or something and he thought he was calling him Trump hence the reaction.
So not only do I need to get sh!t from people when on the phone in another language, I then get told I'm lying about it when I bring it up?

    Got it.

I'm getting more and more cynical the more they manipulate the figures and graphs.

In my eyes hospital admissions are possibly the most useful measure of how serious the current situation is and we're at about 200 per day across the whole country. Todays graph runs only through last few weeks to show rise in admiasions has doubled !

At its worst there were 2500 admissions per day and nearly all of them were in London and across only a few hospitals.

The daily infection graph conveniently runs from the start of the pandemic so it looks like its nearly as bad as the start.

I'd be all up for a serious conversation about the use of fear by politicians, but I fear it would require too much introspection from all sides.

Glad to see you side stepped your ethnicity query so that we will never know if you understand the difference between racism and xenophobia. Have you reported this hate crime to the police. Maybe you can enlighten us on the deeply offensive language used. I am not up on Dutch xenophobia but did clogs get brought into it.

I must say, it's massively disappointing to read such responses to a forum member telling us they were verbally abused because of their nationality.

I mean, f***ing hell, for all our differences I gave everyone - except Coopster, the bot - the benefit of the doubt of being better than this.

At a high level they read quite strict in Wales, not being allowed to enter or leave lockdown areas for example. But I imagine that is riddled with exceptions like travel for work, school etc?
