Edge 25 issues

I've had my Edge 25 for near 4 years now with no real issues until this morning. Was cycling along and it auto paused during the ride. I resumed the ride but it was reading 2-3kmh higher than the guy beside me. I saved the ride and started a new one but it had the wrong speed reading again. I gave up and turned it off for the rest of the spin.

Has anyone ever had issues like this? It's about 4 years old but I don't know the life cycle of these devices. I can afford a new one easy but if I can save the money I will as I've never had issues with it before.

    I'm going to try a hard reset, software upgrade and then see how it goes. My issue is I've a speed sensor and a cadence sensor so am kind of forced to buy another Garmin to keep them in use. I'd love to buy a Wahoo unit but kind of cornered with the accessories I already own.

    Why? They are most probably ant+ and so compatible with Wahoo and most gps units.

    I didn't know they were possibly multi brand compatible. I'll borrow my mates wahoo and see if they'll pair with it.
