Noisy chain
Hi all, I recently bought a new rear wheel not realising it required a screw on cassette.
Rather than the hassle of boxing up and posting the wheel back I bought a sunrace screw on cassette.
The weird thing is now the chain is really noisy as it moves through the drivetrain. I've tried a new chain too but it's still noisy and the only thing that's different is the cassette. I can't understand why a new cassette would cause so much noise when it was silent previously.
Can anyone enlighten me or any suggestions to reduce the noise?

You probably need to adjust the rear mech so it lines up correctly with the new cassette. The chain itself will not be the issue. Without knowing more about the bike or gear mechanisms you have, it's difficult to say.0

Mostly likely the indexing needs setting up again.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Sorry for stating the obvious, but has the new screw-on freewheel got the same number of sprockets as the original?0
