Shorter arm sunglasses - is there such a thing

In the market for some new sunglasses, but I need some which have shorter arms if possible

I wear a Kask Mojito lid and struggle to get a decent fit with glasses, generally having to keep pushing them back when riding

It seems that specs with shorter arms could be a solution as opposed to the ones which curve slightly after/beyond the ear

Therefore I would like to try some shorter (straight armed) glasses which would hopefully fit a little better and thus not having to keep pushing them secure

If anybody has some suggestions that would be fantastic, my budget is up to £70/£75

Currently looking at these...

I bought a pair of Tifosi Fototec Sunglasses https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Tifosi-Eyewear-Crit-Fototec-Cycling-Sunglasses_94773.htm
and you can bend the ends of the arms so that they fit snugly around your ears.

you can heat sunglasses arms using a hairdryer and then bend them as you want them.

or just get any pair and cut the arms to any length you want.

Jawbreakers have relatively short and straight arms.
  • Another vote for Jawbreakers.

Bit over my budget I think
  • George at Asda have some full wrap arounds for a fiver, you can mess around with a pair at that price and if it don't work you ain't lost a fortune.

I've just picked up a pair for £80. They do come up regularly. Keep your eyes open.

So I'm doing some comparisons of arm lengths of specs and think I've narrowed it down to two pairs.....

    https://www.rxsport.co.uk/products/Oakl ... -Grey.html

    Or

    https://www.rxsport.co.uk/products/Boll ... D-TNS.html

Both pairs reportedly have circa 10mm less in the arm length than most specs and having juggled about with the lid earlier today I think they'll work

I've a mojito that I wear with various Oakley's and haven't had a problem. Have you tried lowering or raising the cradle maybe ?
  • Jawbreakers again. Adjustable arms to suit (I'd imagine), most helmets.

You'll definitely find some good second hand ones for iro £80 or new for around £100 if you keep your eyes-out...

Might even be selling mine soon as I fancy a colour change

@cougie - thanks for the suggestion, lowering the cradle has helped and fit is nice and snug (feels much better than before). If weather holds I'll go on a test ride a little later

Rudy Project Rydon/Aygon? the ends of the arms are bendy so you can mould them any way you want. I have some Agons and they work with my Kask lid no probs, although of course YMMV.

I recently bought a pair of these for £20 and they have arms than can be made smaller by push/pull, these are very very lightweight personally I could do with a smaller size but its one size only.

Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.
  • They look to be a straight copy of Jawbreakers. Could be perfect for what OP wants.

Just a quick update on this.....

Ended up trying a few pairs and have settled on a pair of Ivex 104 sportstyle in black. The fit (for me) on these is absolutely superb and you really dont know they're there. Best of all, no issues with fit whilst wearing the Kask mojito
