All rounder bike

Hi, thank you in advance for any help I get :-)
I’m after a decent all rounder bike. My intended uses are riding with my little boy so it needs to be able to accommodate a kids seat, possible commuting to and from work and the option to go mountain biking at places like Cannock chase or forest if dean occasionally.
I intend to get one using the bike to work scheme which for our place is Halfords vouchers (I’m aware they can be used at other places). Looking for around the £750 mark if I feel it’s the right bike.
Any tips?

Thats a big ask a big ask a bike for everthing
https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/ ... -19-frames
This would do as an all ropunder but but slower for a long commute than a road bike due to upright postion less aero...
Light for mtb 12kg 29er wheek size same as a road bike so could fit road tyres for commutinbg, could do all the red black trails at trial centre, if you want etc....

This more of an all rounder suitable for blue trails forest tracks commuting etc but not good for the red/black trails at the trial centre unless you are this skilled:

Downside not hydrualic brakes like the mtb. (The £1000 version is hydraulic)
