Hi folks, just wondering if i could get some help and advice. My commuter bike was stolen a few weeks ago, it was a B-TWIN Triban 520, my first road bike, it was great and managed the 20 mile commute with no problems. i got the cost of the bike back after it was nicked, luckily it was my bosses fault and he paid for it. Anyway i am able to get a new bike on the cycle2work scheme, so i think i can get a bike with a value up to £1000, ive been in to cycle surgery and they are pushing the specialised allez elite 2018, I just wanted to know if you guys think this is the best bike for the money i can get on this scheme or if you have any other recommendations. Thanks.
BTW i will be using it for the commute, some longer rides and a triathlon next year. :D:D:D

People seem keen on the new Boardman Carbon road bike that's under a grand.
It's got mudguard mounts unlike the 2018 Allez so can be a 4 season bike, ideal for commuting.
The frame is supposed to be great and would upgrade nicely over time into a nice bike:

Pauls Cycles take Cycle2Work scheme vouchers, they have a very nice Merida Scultura 500 Disc available in 52cm, 54cm and 56cm.
    Discounted from £1600 to £999
It has Ultegra 11 speed gearing and comes with Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes.

Not sure about mudguard mounting points, check that if you need mudguards for the commute.
