Shimano Ultegra R8000 Compact vs Standard

Is it straightforward to change an Ultegra R8000 compact chainset to a Ultegra R8000 standard? Can I just change the chainrings and chain? I believe the bike has bottom bracket: Shimano BBR60 Hollowtech II Italian.

    Simple enough to change just the chainrings, the BCD is the same for standard and compact these days.

    Even simpler to swap the chainset complete, and given the price of Shimano rings it can sometimes be just about as cheap. Easy to sell on a compact chainset too...

    You will need to move the front mech up to the size of the bigger ring (3 teeth more so bigger diameter). If you are using mechanical you will need to adjust the cable which you may need to change completely if you have not enough sticking out to play with.
