Sunday started with a bang

Morning. What a wake up call. Dog jumped on the bed at same time him upstairs started moving the furniture around and having a hissy fit. Some storm. Working today and definitely not biking in. Hopefully better later today. Enjoy the bank holiday.

    noisy night, let's hope for a dry sunny day, though i suspect there will be various bits of tree over many roads plus puddles

    i predict rides and cake, followed by lazing
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

    Our torrential stuff and light show was last night and the hound slept through the lot - Muttley just wasn't very keen to go out into the garden last night for a p1ss :) Sunny here now but more storms on the way so have done my trips to dump, charity shop etc and ready for some indoors lounging.


    Good luck for the race TCW. You can go back to being TLW tonight.

    Morning
    Cracking the flags here. Shoulder rehab done now contemplating a bike ride however it looks a touch breezy. I think I will have another coffee and think about it.

    Get some of us to sign up next time - the more fat middle aged alkies there are in the race, the better you'll do relatively :)

    Walked doggos with my mother, they enjoyed splashing about in the standing water in the park.

    Now turning my hand to roasting a nice thick piece of pork belly, with potatoes roasted in lard, cauliflower cheese and a selection of green vegetables. In-laws are arriving later. Unsure what wine to dig out, as i don't have any Riesling, which is a situation that must be remedied.

    Morning folks, I’m still alive but only just. Must confess I’m feeling decidedly queezy. Had a great day yesterday. Lad took me to see Deadpool2 then we went to the riverside to find my Mrs and a large group of friends. She had organised a pub crawl scavenger hunt. We ended up in the function room at the local until the early hours. I think I drank enough to offset TCW’s abstinence. We managed to finish the barrel of beer and a hell of a lot of wine.
    Today will consist of very little.

    smidge over 50k hilly potholed soggy roads into the wind, turned around, came back to a smidge over 101k

    stopped for omelette chips and beans at about 60k, this lay rather heavy for the next few hills

    Picked out a middle aged 1er cru red burgundy from an off vintage to go with the pork. A good match. Wish I hadn't wasted it on the buggers, though they enjoyed it.

    Mrs H3 made bread & butter pudding out of croissants, and lobbed a few raspberries in with some white chocolate chips. Pretty bl00dy good. I'm stuffed.

    i and i have just finished doing a first aid box check for one of bambina's clubs: one half roll of tape and a piece of paper describing basic meningitis symptoms.

    What a lightweight - it was only thunderbolt and lightning (very, very frightening) with about 3" of water flowing down the hill at the bottom of our road!

    I and I have just cleaned, lubed and polished n3.

    TDV flew back in today and is in a vile mood. Her broomstick must have given her job. Currently MF and I and I are All keeping very low profiles.
