Broken Scott Sub Speed 10 - Hub options

I've a Alfine hub that it's loose inside and my lbs said that the hub needs replacement - I guess here in Houston TX, for a flatland, single speed should be enough - it seems like that lbs just replace and do not service internal hubs
I bought the bike in a store in NY in the box, using their ebay store.
Well Shimano says that just the lbs can send the hub for service. the bike is very new it's a 2016 Scott Sub Speed 10 Commuter Urban Bicycle - LG 8 sp Belt Drive
using Gates Belt and therefore can't be easily replaced. Ikea bike uses the automatix 2 speed. but that's a no disc
I'm thinking about the i-Motion 3 speed SRAM - trying something else since Shimano warranty is useless.
Any advises from the pros? this is a pleasure bike that I use to go in the nearby park - Not really a commuter - yet since I live too far from work.
I've 2 more bikes but this is the one that I used on the daily basis.
