Morning, cold yet again, even a flakes of snow falling, very seasonal, but not very nice for us cyclists, I will be shopping for Christmas presents today
I had a phone call yesterday asking if I wanted a job over Christmas and the new year, an easy one to answer, no thankyou
    Have a good day

Office day again, might have to find an excuse for a site visit though as the weather is cold and crisp again, not seen blue skies like this since May...

Debating whether to go as planned to Gloucestershire this weekend to see some friends, or sack them off and go skiing at Glenshee/Glencoe/somewhere where the lifts are open

    Weekends getting closer

Just a long day in Birmingham today followed by Yorkshire tomorrow, which is bad timings as I need to go to Brighton for the day on Saturday

Looks like I'm going to have to add ad-blue to my car before the service on Monday!

    Morning
Morning, cold yet again, even a flakes of snow falling, very seasonal, but not very nice for us cyclists,
Dusting of snow at home this morning when I set off but it was all gone a mile from home.

Only have a yoghurt for breakfast this morning.

Had an email at 5am saying my new brake pads from CRC will be arriving today, which is good as there's not much left on the others.

Arrived at work with not a drop of sweat on me and only 2 frozen toes. I think that means I got the kit right. Mini H3 beyond excited due to birthday pressies. Mrs H3 less so. Lovely morning. Half day today, out for some sort of tea with the family later. New sofa also arrives today, which is good, as we've been sharing a 2 seater between 4 of us since the council came to take the old one away on Monday. Going to have to be mean to the dog every time she goes near it, and give her a treat every time she lies in her bed...

I gave up trying to stop the dog from going on the sofa about two weeks after we got him. I was off work ill and he is always warm. Unfortunately now his favourite hobby is to walk from one end to the other making sure to stamp on my crotch repeatedly, that or climb up onto the headrest and lie over my shoulders. He's not the most gracious 32kg labrador.

Luckily mine's only a 12kg poodle cross. However, she has a beard that retains water and slobber, so the old sofa had water/dog slob stains all over the arms and seat cushions. New one is darker in colour, and the covers are washable, but still, best to avoid the stains in the first place.

We have a 'dog chair' with some covers/towels to avoid problems with seat ownership, cleanliness etc. Luckily he seems to like kipping on the floor by the curtains as well.

This time of year mine spends more time infront of the fire, if it’s lit or not

If the fire is not lit, your dog is dropping a big hint.

    Afternoon folks,
Lovely and sunny out there, more than a tad nippy though. Took the old man in for his pre-chemo appointment this morning, all went well so taking him in to be poisoned tomorrow. Unfortunately this means I'm in the car, actually looks like a nice day for a ride if wearing the right kit.
Now sat in the office trying to get stuff sorted to minimise grief on Monday, slim hope I suspect. Today is cake day at least. Cake Friday got moved to the 15th and the end of the month as people that don't do Fridays moaned. Seeing as he's the FD he got what he wanted.
    Onwards and upwards...

In my case, dog and girlfriend can be interchangeable here. She will be complaining long before the dog. Now, if only she'd stop licking her crotch and farting...

The dog switching between infront of the fire and on the sofa is actually what causes a lot of crotch stamping

Jealous, mine will be on when the OH gets in about 10 minutes before me. What temperature are you meant to run a house at?

It's one of those adult tasks that I haven't quite mastered yet. Mumsnet basically scream child abuse if your house is less than 19 degrees whereas sheffield forum mums suggest than anything over 13 is fine (I don't usually look at that sort of mum's forums, they were just the first suggestions on google). Following a number of 'discussions' with the OH we invested in a house thermometer, it turns out 13 degrees is completely unacceptable and I am required to run the main stove like a steam train at all times...

Why are women like boilers* in bed? I end up shifting her in the night time and using a quarter of the quilt.

Work me. Boring. More boring than BBG 'cos I couldn't finish it 'cos the damn tile supplier delivered the wrong tiles.

    Meh and it's cold.

    Laters.

:D It's the 'shifting her' thing - must be a euphemisim?

Now finished working from home. Great to finish and be home. May be cider o'clock?

women typically have a lower metabolic rate, downside of the interesting curves

it's why they claim a perfectly comfortable temperature is freezing and get nasty if you set the aircon at less than 24
