Hi,

Ive agreed to take part in a CX race next week, the tyres my bike has are Black Mamba's. I want a tyre which is better in slippery mud.

Ive looked at Challange Limus but at £55 each then its out of my price range at this moment in time.. can anyone recommend a tyre in the region of £30 - 35

thanks

Vittoria XM aren't bad at all. The tread doesn't look very aggressive, but it's deceptive; they clear very readily, which is the key thing. If I was using clinchers I'd happily race on them.
Clement PDX are a bit more aggressive (like a Limus) but come up pretty wide as clinchers, so avoid if you have any concerns about frame clearance.
    Pannier, 120rpm.

Someone linked to these on another thread

Not the tubeless versions, but with a latex tube these will perform very well indeed. Better than Limus by all accounts.

Schwalbe CX Pro - can be had very cheap - same basic tread pattern as the Vittoria mentioned earlier..

PDXs, cheap, very aggressive, clear well and can be run at low pressures.
